1.2. Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to enter into a contract with Zap. By using our Service, you warrant that you are legally capable of doing so.
1.3. Service Availability: Our services are available in specified geographic areas within New Zealand. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
1.4. Subscriptions & Billing: Zap offers subscription plans for regular bin cleaning services. You agree to automatic recurring billing unless you cancel via your account dashboard or by contacting support@zap.co.nz. Failed payments may result in service suspension.
1.5. Cancellations & Refunds You may cancel your subscription at any time. Refunds are not provided for unused portions of your subscription unless required under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
1.6. Customer Responsibilities: Customers must ensure: Bins are accessible on scheduled service days. Bins are emptied by local waste collection prior to our arrival. Dangerous or biohazardous materials are not present in or on the bins.
1.7. Liability Limitation: To the maximum extent permitted under NZ law, Zap is not liable for: Incidental, indirect, or consequential damages. Delays or failure in performance due to factors beyond our control.
1.8. Amendments: We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Privacy Policy
2.1. Personal Information: We collect and handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ). Information we collect:Name, address, contact details. Payment and billing information. Service usage data and bin cleaning history. IoT data (if using Zap-enabled smart bins). Communications with our support team.
2.2. How We Use Your Data: To deliver and maintain the Service. For billing, support, and customer service.To optimize routing, scheduling, and hygiene analysis. To notify you of service updates and offers (you can opt out).
2.3. Data Sharing: We may share data:With third-party processors (e.g. payment gateways, logistics tools). As required by NZ law enforcement or court order. In the case of a merger or acquisition. We do not sell your personal data.
2.4. Data Retention: We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and meet our legal obligations.
